FEAP 2b: Manages individual and class behavior through a well-planned management system
I demonstrated FEAP 2b by creating a bookmark for the hierarchy of interventions discussed in Principles of Classroom Management by Levin & Nolan. I carried this with me during my internship as a reminder to execute this behavior management system. For example, while circulating the classroom I would resort to nonverbal interventions first and proceed as needed. Additionally, I worked on the prerequisites for positive class behavior by using positive reinforcement and inclusion to encourage repetition of good behavior. This is an example of FEAP 2b because it demonstrates an efficient and well thought out system to manage student behavior.
